Frequently Asked Questions

Which airports do you serve?

We provide pre-arranged chauffeur transportation for San Francisco International Airport (SFO), San José Mineta International Airport (SJC), Oakland International Airport (OAK), Monterey Regional Airport (MRY), and confirmed private-aviation terminals and FBOs throughout the Bay Area.

How far ahead should I reserve my chauffeur service?

Please reserve 12–24 hours ahead whenever possible. Advance notice gives us time to confirm your preferred vehicle, professional chauffeur, flight or FBO details, passenger count, luggage requirements, pickup instructions, and any additional stops. Same-day requests may be accepted when availability permits.

Which vehicles are available, and how many passengers and bags can they carry?

The Lincoln Aviator accommodates up to 3 passengers and 3 bags. The Chevrolet Suburban LT SUV accommodates up to 6 passengers and up to 6 standard-size bags when the luggage dimensions and configuration allow. If the party’s luggage cannot fit safely, reserve a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Sprinter service is available for 6 passengers, 7–10 passengers, or 11–14 passengers, but its passenger capacity and luggage space must also be confirmed together before booking.

How can I get an instant price quote?

Visit our online booking page and enter the exact pickup address, destination, date, time, vehicle, and any additional stops to receive an instant price quote. Published route rates are approximate one-way rates. The confirmed price may change based on exact addresses, vehicle availability, tolls, airport fees, parking, waiting time, additional stops, and special-event conditions. Gratuity is excluded and may be given directly to the chauffeur when you are pleased with the service.

What airport fees, waiting times, and meet-and-greet charges apply?

An $8 airport fee applies to each airport pickup or drop-off. Airport arrival reservations include 60 minutes of waiting time. Standard point-to-point pickups include 15 complimentary minutes; the chauffeur may wait up to 30 minutes when availability permits, with time after the first 15 minutes charged according to the confirmed vehicle’s hourly rate. Optional indoor airport meet-and-greet service is $45, with applicable parking handled according to the confirmed reservation.

How long will my chauffeur wait for me?

Waiting time depends on the reservation type. Airport arrivals include 60 minutes under the confirmed terms. At a residence, hotel, office, or other standard point-to-point pickup, the first 15 minutes are complimentary; the chauffeur may wait up to 30 minutes when scheduling permits, with additional time charged at the confirmed vehicle’s hourly rate. Waiting at an intermediate stop is not complimentary unless specifically included in writing. Hourly service begins at the confirmed pickup time because the vehicle and chauffeur are reserved for the booked period. If you expect a delay, call or text promptly. Longer waiting or an extension remains subject to chauffeur availability and the written confirmation.

How does SFO pickup work for luxury sedans and SUVs?

For domestic arrivals at Terminals 1, 2, and 3, collect your luggage and call or text the chauffeur with your terminal and door number, regardless of airline. Allow approximately 5–10 minutes for the chauffeur to approach, and the chauffeur may share a live location. For international arrivals, passengers commonly exit through Door 2 or Door 3 on the A or G side and meet at the white-striped curbside limousine pickup section. SFO may temporarily relocate an authorized pickup zone during airport operations, so call or text when ready and follow the reservation-day message, posted signs, and chauffeur’s confirmed instructions. SFO curbs are for active passenger pickup and drop-off only; passengers must be outside and ready before the vehicle approaches, and vehicles may not wait or remain unattended at the curb.

Where do Mercedes-Benz Sprinter passengers meet at SFO?

Mercedes-Benz Sprinter service is operated as charter and pre-arranged transportation for groups of up to 14 passengers. International Terminal pickups use Bus Courtyard A or Bus Courtyard G on Level 1, Arrivals/Baggage Claim. Domestic charter pickups use the designated bus courtyard for the arrival terminal: Bus Courtyard 1 for Terminal 1, Bus Courtyard 3 for Terminals 2 and 3, or Bus Courtyard 4 for Terminal 3 when directed. Passengers should be at the confirmed bus courtyard and ready to board before the Sprinter approaches because vehicles may not wait at the curb. The exact courtyard and meeting instructions remain subject to current SFO operating requirements.

What is your cancellation policy?

Event and charter vehicle reservations must be cancelled by email to [email protected] at least 72 hours before the scheduled pickup. Cancellation is effective when the email is received. Cancellations received after that deadline and no-shows are non-refundable, and Black Chauffeur Limo Service may retain amounts already paid. Airport and other reservations follow the cancellation terms in their written confirmation; any different written confirmation terms control.

Do I need to call to confirm my pickup?

No additional confirmation call is normally required after you receive your reservation confirmation. For airport curbside pickups, however, please call or text when you have collected your luggage and reached the confirmed meeting location so the chauffeur can coordinate the permitted approach.

Can I book airport car service for my sister, brother, parent, employee, or another traveler?

Yes. The person making or paying for the reservation may be different from the passenger. Provide the traveler’s full name, reachable mobile number, airline and flight number, arrival date, airport, destination, passenger and luggage counts, requested vehicle, and curbside or inside meet-and-greet preference. Keep the booking contact on the reservation as a backup, and make sure the passenger has the confirmation and knows which phone number was supplied for pickup communication.

Will the chauffeur meet the passenger inside the airport or pick them up curbside?

Either option may be arranged when available and confirmed. Standard curbside pickup requires the passenger to collect all luggage, reach the confirmed legal pickup location, and call or text when ready so the chauffeur can coordinate the permitted approach. Optional inside meet-and-greet service is $45: the chauffeur parks, enters the terminal, and meets the traveler at the confirmed meeting point, usually with the passenger’s name. Applicable parking is handled according to the written reservation. Airport, terminal, and vehicle-class rules may change the exact meeting location.

How will the chauffeur communicate with a passenger when someone else made the reservation?

Use the passenger’s own reachable mobile number as the primary trip contact and the person who booked as a backup contact. The passenger should keep that phone on after landing and check calls or text messages for the confirmed meeting instructions. For curbside pickup, the passenger should call or text after collecting luggage and reaching the meeting location. If the passenger has no working mobile service, arrange an inside meet-and-greet or another written communication plan before the trip.

Do you track flights, and what happens if a flight is delayed?

Flight monitoring supports pickup coordination when the correct airline, flight number, arrival date, and airport are supplied. An early or delayed arrival may change dispatch timing, but the passenger or booking contact should still communicate after landing and promptly report cancellations, missed connections, rebooked flights, or a changed flight number. Airport arrival reservations include 60 minutes of waiting time under the confirmed terms. Additional waiting, a substantial schedule change, or a replacement flight may affect availability and charges, so the written reservation terms control.

What if baggage claim, customs, or an airport queue delays the passenger?

Airport arrival reservations include 60 minutes of waiting time under the confirmed terms. International passengers should allow an appropriate buffer for immigration, customs, and baggage collection when choosing the pickup time; scheduling at least 60 minutes after the published arrival time is often practical, and a longer buffer may be appropriate for the itinerary. Call or text as soon as a delay becomes apparent. The chauffeur may wait longer when scheduling permits, but extra waiting is subject to availability and the confirmed vehicle’s hourly rate.

Can the chauffeur assist with luggage?

Yes. The chauffeur can normally help place luggage in and remove it from the vehicle when it is safe and practical to do so. A passenger who prefers to handle personal belongings should simply tell the chauffeur. Disclose oversized, unusually heavy, fragile, medical, mobility, or other special items before confirmation so vehicle space and any reasonable assistance request can be reviewed in advance.

When is a reservation considered a no-show?

A reservation may be treated as a no-show when the passenger is absent after the applicable waiting period, cannot be reached using the supplied trip contact, and no additional waiting has been accepted. We may also contact the booking or backup contact when one is provided. Standard point-to-point and airport reservations follow their confirmed waiting and cancellation terms. An hourly reservation begins at the scheduled time and remains chargeable for the confirmed period unless Black Chauffeur Limo Service accepts a change or cancellation. No-show charges and any exceptions are governed by the written confirmation.
